Residents and employees can conitnue to expect minor delays, detours and temporary parking lot closures when using the West Bloomfield Township Civic Center this summer.

On Monday, August 26, Phase 4 will begin. In this phase we will start by closing the inbound Civic Center drive for construction.  The Civic Center outbound drive will be converted into two-way traffic. When the construction of the inbound drive is completed, we will switch traffic to the newly completed drive and close the outbound drive for reconstruction.  We will also be improving the geometrics of the intersection with a right turn deceleration lane and the traffic signal will be upgraded.

..............................................................................................................................

Again, the project consists of the reconstruction of Civic Center Boulevard and rehabilitation of all the Civic Center Complex parking lots and sidewalks.  Improvements to the complex drainage system are also included.  New curbing will be installed and sidewalks will be repaired. Access to each building and pathway in the complex shall remain open during the project.  We anticipate project completion to be by the end of September.

The project is divided into five phases and will require visitors and employees to park in specific areas to facilitate the construction. We appreciate your patience as you navigate through each phase of the project this summer.

Again, West Bloomfield Township greatly appreciates your patience as you navigate through the complex this summer.  This investment in the township will provide safer roads; smoother parking lots, increased water quality in our wetlands, and improved access to all complex facilities for many years to come.
